Urgent requirement: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Winston County, Mississippi. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Day-to-day duties: • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers Requirements: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
