Pipe TIG welder — Campbell County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Campbell County, Virginia. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. The role involves sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift.
