Tig welder — Calhoun County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Calhoun County, Iowa. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. You will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
