Great opportunity: safety officer (North Carolina)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety officer in Halifax County, North Carolina. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. Day-to-day duties: • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift You should have: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
