Immediate opening: we are hiring a general labourer in Sullivan County, Missouri. On a typical shift you will set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; backfill and ram down soil around the foundations. Requirements: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites Full-time with occasional weekends. $9,000 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
