Truck driver wanted in Orkney Islands

Great opportunity: we are hiring a truck driver in Orkney Islands, Scotland. Day to day you will log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards; plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load; operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading; carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off. You should have: • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
