Vertical milling machine operator • Macon County, Georgia

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Macon County, Georgia. You will work in a toolroom. You will monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production. You should have: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade Pay around $4,100 per month, based on your experience.
