Vacancy available: we are hiring a hand presser in Columbia County, Oregon. You will be based at a dry cleaner's. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Your main tasks: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
