Immediate opening: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Carroll County, Maryland. The job is in a heavy machinery workshop. Day to day you will guide loads through tight openings into their final position; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists. What we are looking for: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Full-time, day shift. Meals and transport allowance provided.
