Vertical milling machine operator • Orleans Parish, Louisiana

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Orleans Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a CNC machining unit. Ideal candidate: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Your main tasks: • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
