We are recruiting: TIG welder (Scotland)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a TIG welder in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. The role involves: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Full-time, day shift.
