Great opportunity: garment presser (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a garment presser in Rockingham County, Virginia. Day to day you will fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. You should have: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
