Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete labourer in Hopkins County, Texas. You will be based at a ready-mix concrete plant. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works Your main tasks: • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $120 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
