Join our team: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Crittenden County, Kentucky. You will work on an industrial construction site. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium The role involves control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
