Great opportunity: we are hiring a furnace operator in Tippecanoe County, Indiana. You will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale. Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills $31 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
