Vacancy available: we are hiring a refrigeration installation technician in Greene County, Iowa. The job is at a busy refrigeration workshop. The role involves trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution; check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil; charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight; trace electrical circuits with a multimeter; measure the compressor motor's amperage draw with a clamp meter; braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch. What we are looking for: • Willing to work at heights and inside cold rooms • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade Rotating shifts.
