Now hiring: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in City of Radford, Virginia. You will work on a housing development site. Ideal candidate: • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control The role involves: • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds Full-time, day shift.
