Gang bricklayer • DeKalb County, Alabama

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in DeKalb County, Alabama. You will be based on a commercial construction site. You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Day to day you will forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge. 4+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
