Join our team: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Clay County, Alabama. The job is on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. The role involves lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. You should have: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
