Join our team: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Phillips County, Kansas. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You should have: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination The role involves: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
