Pipe tig welder wanted in Monroe County

Join our team: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Monroe County, Kentucky. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. You should have: • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings On a typical shift you will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
