Immediate opening: we are hiring an abattoir worker in McKinley County, New Mexico. You will work at a halal meat counter. On a typical shift you will monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders. You should have: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter 4+ years on the tools preferred.
