Safety officer wanted in Newton County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a safety officer in Newton County, Arkansas. The job is at an oil and gas facility. Requirements: • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Day-to-day duties: • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports 5+ years on the tools preferred.
