Foundry worker wanted in Penobscot County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Penobscot County, Maine. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards You will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant.
