Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Towns County, Georgia. You will be based in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. What we are looking for: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Your main tasks: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
