Trowel-trade bricklayer — Denver County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Denver County, Colorado. You will work on a busy housing site. You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Your main tasks: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
