Now hiring: system formwork carpenter (New Mexico)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a system formwork carpenter in Valencia County, New Mexico. You will work on a metro and tunnel project. On the job you will handle: • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Repair damaged plywood and timber shutters • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb • Apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line Ideal candidate: • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Able to read formwork and structural drawings At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
