Join our team: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Salem County, New Jersey. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Ideal candidate: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Your main tasks: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder 6+ years on the tools preferred. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
