Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Clarke County, Alabama. The role involves establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. You should have: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
