Framing carpenter • San Miguel County, New Mexico

Vacancy available: we are hiring a framing carpenter in San Miguel County, New Mexico. You will work on a busy construction site. Requirements: • Own basic hand tools • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings The role involves glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; fix studwork and plasterboard partitions; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board.
