Great opportunity: we are hiring a banksman in Pierce County, North Dakota. Day to day you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. Requirements: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
