Core maker wanted in City of Manassas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in City of Manassas, Virginia. You will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends.
