Great opportunity: heavy equipment operator (Michigan)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Alpena County, Michigan. You will work at a drainage and utilities contractor. Your main tasks: • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly • Work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger What we are looking for: • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances 6+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
