Tailor machinist — West Northamptonshire

Join our team: we are hiring a tailor machinist in West Northamptonshire, England. Day-to-day duties: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet Requirements: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance 3+ years on the tools preferred.
