Sand plant operator wanted in Douglas County

Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Douglas County, Minnesota. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Your main tasks: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale 1+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $18 per hour, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Contact us to fix an interview.
