Pipe TIG welder • Pottawattamie County, Iowa

Vacancy available: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Pottawattamie County, Iowa. The job is on a structural steel site. The role involves: • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols 6+ years on the tools preferred.
