Argon welder — Saint Charles Parish

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Saint Charles Parish, Louisiana. You will tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. Requirements: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
