Great opportunity: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in Wokingham, England. You will work on a road and infrastructure project. What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate The role involves conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height.
