Carpenter wanted in Houghton County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a carpenter in Houghton County, Michigan. The role involves: • Check work for level, plumb and square with a spirit level • Lay laminate, engineered and solid wood flooring • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge Requirements: • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
