Fabricator-welder • Waldo County, Maine

Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Waldo County, Maine. Day to day you will run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work 1+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off.
