Now hiring: we are hiring a safety officer in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. The job is at a busy construction site. Day to day you will enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; run the permit-to-work system for hot work and confined-space entry. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
