Gtaw welder wanted in Claiborne County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Claiborne County, Tennessee. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. On a typical shift you will weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
