Rebar fixer wanted in Polk County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Polk County, Florida. On a typical shift you will lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
