Immediate opening: we are hiring a TIG welder in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. You will be based on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise.
