Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Cleburne County, Alabama. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Willing to work shifts and overtime You will lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence. Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. We offer $4,200 per month plus benefits. Six days a week, one day off. Share your details and we will call you back.
