We are recruiting: horizontal milling machine operator (Alabama)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Clay County, Alabama. You will be based at a busy machine shop. The role involves set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; load and edit CNC programs (G-code) at the Fanuc/Siemens control; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines. Requirements: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T We offer $4,400 per month plus benefits.
