Now hiring: bar bender and fixer (New York)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Bronx County, New York. You will be based on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. On a typical shift you will assemble column and beam cages on the bench; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift. What we are looking for: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Part-time with flexible hours.
