Shuttering carpenter — Union County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shuttering carpenter in Union County, Illinois. You will be based on a residential tower site. Ideal candidate: • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Able to read formwork and structural drawings The role involves check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line; apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking. We offer $5,000 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
