Immediate opening: site carpenter (Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a site carpenter in Sussex County, Virginia. You will work in a bespoke joinery workshop. On a typical shift you will glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together; finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails; read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Sound knowledge of timber types, grades and fixings • Good eye for detail and a clean finish 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
