Immediate opening: we are hiring a fettler in Coffee County, Georgia. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
